Land of Silence and Darkness (1971)

Director:
Werner Herzog

IMDB

Review:
Through examining Fini Straubinger, an old woman who has been deaf and blind since her teens, and her work on behalf of other deaf-blind people, this film shows how the deaf-blind struggle to understand and accept a world from which they are almost wholly isolated. Indeed a one of Herzog's most extraordinary documentaries. A must watch!

  2. The one Herzog documentary I have wanted to see for years! Damn, this site is good! Still keeping my eyes out for a rip of last year's 'Cave Of Forgotten Dreams' which I missed when it was doing the cinema rounds.

You checked out the YT clips for his upcoming 'Death Row' doc called 'Into The Abyss'? From the few minutes of clips I can tell this is going to be a classic!
