The God Who Wasn't There (2005)

Director:
Brian Flemming

IMDB:
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0455507/

Review:
Documentary filmmaker Brian Flemming examines the Bible and discusses the history of early Christianity, raising doubts as to whether the New Testament personage Jesus ever really existed. Flemming examines the similarity of the Jesus story to other savior myths of the time and points to inexplicable gaps in early Christian history that combine to shed doubt on the Bible's Jesus story.

Root of All Evil? (2006)

Director:
Russell Barnes

IMDB:
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0774118/

Review:
This thought inspiring documentary highlights the arguments which exist against religion, arguments which go completely uncountered by the religious people Dawkins speaks to. People get hung up on the fact Dawkins has not been "respectful" but that is precisely the point of this documentary; it is questioning why people demand a special "respect" for these insane beliefs about sky-fairies and demons etc despite the fact they are self evidently nonsensical. Richard Dawkins has no such hold ups and questions religious beliefs as the scientific assertions they are, making a convincing and clear-cut case against religion in all it's forms. This documentary is a truly inspiring piece of work and should be watched by atheists and the few religious people brave enough to listen to reason instead of believing "bronze age myths".

The Enemies of Reason (2007)

Director:
Russell Barnes

IMDB:
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1092058

Review:
Slaves to Superstition
Prof Richard Dawkins tackles the epidemic of irrational, superstitious thinking which is blotting the light of logic and evidence. After garnering tips on psychics' entirely earthly trade secrets from the illusionist Derren Brown, Dawkins attends a seance and confronts the medium. Time and again, the interviewees appeal to personal revelation or second-hand anecdote to justify their belief.

The Irrational Health Service
There are two ways of looking at the world: through faith and superstition or through the rigours of logic, observation and evidence; in other words, through reason. But society appears to be retreating from reason. Apparently harmless but utterly irrational belief systems, from astrology to New Age mysticism, and clairvoyance to alternative health remedies, are booming.
