Albert Henry DeSalvo (September 3, 1931 - November 25, 1973) was a criminal in Boston, Massachusetts, United States who confessed to being the "Boston Strangler", the murderer of 13 women in the Boston area. His confession has been disputed, and debate continues regarding which crimes DeSalvo actually committed. Between June 14, 1962 and January 4, 1964, 13 single women between the ages of 19 and 85 were murdered in the Boston area; they were eventually tied to the Boston Strangler. Most of the women were sexually assaulted in their apartments, then strangled with articles of clothing. The eldest victim died of a heart attack. Two others were stabbed to death, one of whom was also badly beaten. Without any sign of forced entry into their dwellings, the women were assumed to have either known their killer or voluntarily allowed him into their homes.

She ultimately received five additional death sentences. Wuornos admitted to killing seven men in separate incidents, all of whom she claimed raped her (or attempted to) while she was working as a prostitute. She was put to death via lethal injection on October 9, 2002.

He was known as the BTK killer (or the BTK strangler), which stands for Bind, Torture and Kill, which describes his modus operandi. Letters were written soon after the killings to police and to local news outlets, boasting of the crimes and knowledge of details. After a long hiatus these letters resumed in 2004, leading to his arrest in 2005 and subsequent conviction.

David Richard Berkowitz (born June 1, 1953), also known as the .44 Caliber Killer and the Son of Sam, is an American serial killer.

Shortly after his arrest in 1977, Berkowitz confessed to killing six people and wounding seven others in the course of eight shootings in New York City between 1976 and 1977. He has been imprisoned for the crimes since 1977. The crimes had terrorized New York for a year. Berkowitz subsequently claimed that a neighbor's dog was possessed by a demon that commanded Berkowitz to kill.

Berkowitz later amended his confession to claim he was the shooter in only two incidents, personally killing three people and wounding a fourth. The other victims were killed, Berkowitz claimed, by members of a violent Satanic cult of which he was a member. Though he remains the only person charged with or convicted of the shootings, some law enforcement authorities argue that Berkowitz's claims are credible: according to John Hockenberry of MSNBC, many officials involved in the original "Son of Sam" case suspected that more than one person was perpetrating the murders. Hockenberry also reports that the Son of Sam case was reopened in 1996 and, as of 2004, it was still considered open.

On November 30, 2001, as he was leaving a Renton, Washington factory where he worked, he was arrested for the murders of seven women whose deaths were attributed to the "Green River Killer". Four murders were linked to him through DNA and three through paint he used at his job. Two years later he pleaded guilty to 48 counts of aggravated murder, although the estimates run much higher. Ridgway has been married three times and has one son. He carried his son's photo in his wallet to lure most of his victims into his pickup truck.

He was convicted and later executed for the rape and murder of 33 boys and young men between 1972 and his arrest in 1978, 27 of whom he buried in a crawl space under the floor of his house, while others were found in nearby rivers. He became notorious as the "Killer Clown" because of the many block parties he threw for his friends and neighbors, entertaining children in a clown suit and makeup, under the name of "Pogo the Clown." He was also in the Guinness Book of World Records for the longest sentence imposed on a mass murderer, he was given 21 consecutive life sentences and 12 death sentences.

A little girl by the name of Grace Budd that he ate and than after 6 years sent a letter to her parents admitting that he has killed and eaten her, fully describing that act. Albert Fish was known as The Gray Man, Werewolf of Wysteria, The Brooklyn Vampire and The Boogeyman. I strongly recommend this documentary. A true must watch!

Review:
The Selling of a Serial Killer (1992) is a documentary film about Aileen Wuornos, made by Nick Broomfield. It documents Broomfield's attempts to interview Wuornos, which involves a long process of mediation through her adopted mother Arlene Pralle and lawyer, Steve Glazer. The film essentially highlights the exploitation of Wuornos by those around her and questions the fairness of her trial, given the vested interests of the police. The film was used by the defense in the Wuornos trial (2001) to highlight the incompetence of Wuornos' original lawyer. It was through this process that Broomfield decided to make a second film, Aileen: Life and Death of a Serial Killer. Furthermore, for the feature film Monster, Charlize Theron used this film as source material, apparently watching clips in-between takes in order to perfect her character. Theron won an Oscar for her performance, awarded on what would have been Wournos's birthday.

Serial Killers: Profiling the Criminal Mind (1999)

Review:
Profilers (1997), written by Jeff Tarkington, about criminal profilers who base their analysis of prospective suspects on the crime scene investigation (C.S.I.) and their previous interviews with convicted serial killers. Here we see how FBI profilers John Douglas and Roy Hazelwood help to convict Wayne Bertram Williams, Robert Hansen, and Larry Gene Bell, though with a victim count of 2, Bell just qualifies as a serial killer. Of the 3 cases, Williams is the most curious, where it is said by Douglas that he "almost played out his own script" (whatever that means), and is seen to be stalked by the media before he is arrested and it appears that the police have named him as their prime suspect. Douglas' ploy to make Williams demonstrate his "anger" on trial is said to be the turning point in the case, though anger being interpreted as "rage" must certainly be subjective.

Dahmer: Mystery of the Serial Killer (1993), written by Michael Husain, and focusing on one of the more grotesque serial killers Jeffrey Dahmer. This episode also traces past serial killers. Described as the "embodiment of evil" and like Haley's comet by his defence attorney - who thankfully "only appears once every 75 years", excerpts from Dahmer's trial are seen here as is his own address to the court, though Dahmer has his back to the camera. Forensic Psychiatrist Park Dietz diagnoses Dahmer as being accidently conditioned in puberty to associate sex with violence, control and mutilation, and though he is described as a necrophile, his taste is more for "sex zombies" created from the crude lobotomies of his victims, than corpses. Dietz also comments that Dahmer needed to be drunk to kill and dismember, with Dahmer's alcoholism said to be as compulsive as his murdering. The medical examiner describes what the police found in Dahmer's apartment as a "localised disaster", and the trial scenes also include the testimony of escaped victim Tracy Edwards, and Dahmer being abused histrionically by one of the victim's family. Perhaps because Dahmer was killed once imprisoned, his tale has a more mysterious resonance.

Buried Secrets (1996), written by Judy Cole, and about John Wayne Gacy, Jr. This episode has multiple use of the same imagery, especially one photo of Gacy that is zoomed in on over and over again, which reads as lazy film-making. We see Gacy dressed as Poco the clown, and the camera pours over handcuffs and rope, for expressionist effect, and we hear Gacy's voice from Defence Attorney's taped interviews. We are told he was such a social manipulator that he could "con people into killing them", and that his police confession was a "4 hour monologue". The weakness in this presentation is that it does not make clear the reality of Gacy's disposal of his victim's bodies under his house, where access looks decidely limited. However, some amusement comes from Gacy toying with his police surveillants, and his grim joke "I was only guilty of running a cemetary without a licence".

Charles Manson: Journey into Evil (1995), written by Alan Goldberg. This episode is unique in that we see Manson interviewed to-camera, though I could have done without the faux flames over one photo of him. Roman Polanski's emotional press conference after the death of his wife Sharon Tate by Manson's "family" is interrupted, though Patricia Krenwinkel's telling of the Tate house murders is chilling without being graphic.

Review:
Not only do i watch a lot of movies,I also watch documentaries.And this is by far the best i've ever seen.I got this free when I brought Hannibal on DVD.Looking at the case I knew somthing was creepy about this,because everything seem so real when I was watching it.The reason I said this,because this film has reactments,except none of that fake crap.The people playing the killers are really into the role.Especially the one with Albert Fish and Andrei Chikatilo.This film even gives more infor on the world's most dangerous killers.Watch it,you won't be dissapointed.
