Yael Hersonski's powerful documentary achieves a remarkable feat through its penetrating look at another film-the now-infamous Nazi-produced film about the Warsaw Ghetto. Discovered after the war, the unfinished work, with no soundtrack, quickly became a resource for historians seeking an authentic record, despite its elaborate propagandistic construction. The later discovery of a long-missing reel complicated earlier readings, showing the manipulations of camera crews in these "everyday" scenes. Well-heeled Jews attending elegant dinners and theatricals (while callously stepping over the dead bodies of compatriots) now appeared as unwilling, but complicit, actors, alternately fearful and in denial of their looming fate.

The Atomic Cafe recounts a defining period of 20th century history and serves as a chilling and often hilarious reminder of cold-war era paranoia in the United States, artfully presented through a collage of newsreel footage, government archives, military training films and fifties music. Inventive, sharply satiric montage of Cold War propaganda is hilarious, alarming by turns. Too repetitive for some, but cult-status film appeals to fans of black humor, social satire, offbeat documentaries.

The Secret Glory tells the story of Otto Rahn (1904-1939), who worked in Ahnenerbe (Ancestral Heritage Society), a Schutz-Staffel division in the Nazi Germany. Rahn was convinced he knew where to find the Holy Grail and after being nominated an SS officer, he finally had the resources to pursue it. Otto Rahn was a writer who's life's passion was to pursue the Grail. This is an object that was made from the crown of Lucifer after his fall from grace. Its a powerful relic that Rahn believed could be found by decoding the poem Parzival by Wolfram Von Eschenbach. Rahn found backing for his ideas in the mystical societies that were active in Germany between the world wars. The societies were tied to right wing politics and it wasn't long before Rahn was attached to the Nazi's and the SS. Its a dark story about a man who ended up in a situation that was way over his head. The ability to separate fact from fiction when it comes to the Nazi interest in the occult is a difficult thing. There have been more than a fair share of books and films on the subject and not all of them have been scrupulous in their reporting. What you think is real very often not and what you think is not occasionally is. Myth and legend and fact have intertwined so much that anything is possible, especially for an open mind. This is Stanley's attempt to unravel the knot (or begin to unravel since Stanley in the commentary on the DVD states that some documents concerning some of the subjects are just now being declassified. Stanley hopes to pursue more leads and produce a longer cut later). The film is structured as a mystical journey. The visuals and music are often very hypnotic taking you to another place and time. The visuals, taken from photographs and old films are supplemented with interviews with people who knew Rahn and spell out, occasionally contradictorily, the events in Rahn's life. It takes Rahn from his days in college to his final days in the SS. Richard Stanley has fashioned a unique film about a unique character. Its a film that is made in such away as to suck you in and to give you some sense of the subject and the times. Its a good film and good introduction to the weird mind set that one often finds when one looks at the Nazi/occult connection.

Paragraph 175 is a documentary film released in 2000, directed by Rob Epstein and Jeffrey Friedman, and narrated by Rupert Everett. The film chronicles the lives of several men who were arrested by the Nazis for homosexuality under Paragraph 175, the sodomy provision of the German penal code, dating back to 1871. Between 1933 and 1945, 100,000 men were arrested under Paragraph 175. Some were imprisoned, others were sent to concentration camps. Only about 4,000 survived; see Paragraph 175 for full details. In 2000, fewer than ten of these men were known to be living. Five come forward in the documentary to tell their stories for the first time, considered to be among the last untold stories of the Third Reich.

How did Hitler decide he was a messiah and persuade a whole nation to follow him to damnation?
This is a subject that has been mined many times in fiction - Raiders Of The Lost Ark, Constantine, Hellboy, Bulletproof Monk and English horror writer James Herbert's book The Spear - as well as documentary.
Based on Ken Anderson's 1995 book of the same name, this aims to show how the Nazi party was originally made up of several occult groups that believed a messiah was on the way to save Germany. Adolf Hitler decided that he was that messiah and somehow persuaded a whole nation to follow him down the road to damnation. How did he do that? Were the reasons economic and social? Or, wait for it, supernatural? It's already well documented that he appropriated Christian symbols - the Spear of Destiny, which supposedly pierced Christ's side on the Cross, and the Holy Grail - for his own purposes. Ditto the swastika, which had religious significance for earlier cultures.

Only four days after the commencement of the Nazi Germany military campaign against the Kingdom of Yugoslavia, the terrorist group that was trained for years by Adolf Hitler and condoned by Catholic Church to destabilize the young monarchy, seized the power and proclaimed the new fascist state. The Fuhrer generously rewarded his proxies with huge territory, while Catholic Chrch hurried to assist the murderers in
enacting their monstrous agenda and crime to come. The murderers were known as Ustashe, or Ustashas and clero-fascist state known as "Indepentent State of Croatia".

Only in largest death camp, an estimated six to seven hundred thousand Serbs, Jews and Gypsies have perished in the Ustashe death rampage, imposing the same racial purification laws of Third Reich. Headed by Archbishop Stepinac, the entire Catholic clergy advocated the Ustashe genocide, and many took part in mass executions.

The fall of Third Reich brings down the dark Ustashe regime, who flee the crime scene after demolishing most of evidence, with the majority of Ustashe lidership going to Argentina, provided with new names and documents by the Vatican. However, the advent of freedom did not let the truth come out to the world.
